I discovered Mantrailing in 2020 after trying scentwork, but finding my dog struggled with the indoor class environment. I fell in love with Mantrailing because it was something my dog and I could do together without worrying about the other dogs, something we could take part in on an equal footing. So in September 2021 I travelled to Birmingham to qualify as a Mantrailing UK instructor, and started 1066 Mantrailing shortly after to bring this wonderful sport that I love to other dog owners in the area.

In 2025 I changed the business name to 1066 K9 Trail Sport to reflect the addition of Trail Hunt International to the schedule - take a look at that page too!

I love Mantrailing because I don’t need to see any other dogs, they make me nervous. I get to use my nose which makes me tired and calm and happy and I get to spend one-to-one time with my mum. I get yummy treats when I find a person. My mum gets very excited and says I am a very clever boy!

Sadly now I am retired as I’m getting old but I still come out to do little bits from time to time.
